Advertising, Media Literacy, and Media Advocacy
This training will introduce the fundamentals of media literacy and media advocacy. Participants will:
- Reflect upon the influence that media has upon their lives and how media influences decision-making on a daily basis.
- Learn the definition of media literacy and practice "reading" the media.
- Learn about media advocacy and strategies to identify ways to utilize media to further their initiatives.
- Discuss traditional media and social media to better understand the breadth of media advocacy.
